Link
Here’s a basic update on what we’ve been working on over here at Five30 Music.
New Charlie Beans single for free download.
Please check out the Soundcloud link below to download my new single “Fantasy” featuring Steddy P. X DJ Mahf. I wanted to put out something new as a precursor to the show this Saturday, and thought my collaboration with Missouri’s finest seemed perfect. Check out www.indyground.com if you’re not familiar with the great things these guys are doing in the Show Me State. The song is produced by Soleternity, who’s done work with a lot of notable acts. He most recently produced “Technicians” off Tech N9ne’s “All 6s & 7s” album. Please share, download, comment, and enjoy!
Don’t forget, this Saturday:

Charlie Beans First Solo Set
It’s true. I’ll be performing my first solo set ever Saturday, June 30 @ The Berkley Front backed by a live DJ, and my good friend, Paulie aka Grade A. The night will be hosted by none other than Five30 Music’s Tony Franks.
This is a big deal for me. A lot of people know that I’m 1/2 of Abrasive Method with Tony Franks. Some know I make beats. Some think I’ve stopped rapping, which couldn’t be further from the truth. Some people think I only facilitate projects now. I guess I do a little of everything.
I’ve been working on my own album for a little over a year, in between releases projects for Five30 Music, as well as producing tracks for Five30, SKRAPZ, Miz Korona, Tenacity, Moe Dirdee, Progress Report, Farout, AJAX, Mathias, MC Tay, and many more.
The point being, I’ve been recording my album behind close doors so to speak, but am ready to unveil some music LIVE to everyone. My album is called How Dare You and we’re planning to release it this Fall. I’m really anxious to hear what people think of my solo material as it’s a slight departure from A.M. material, and happy to get out and do some things on my own.
SPECIAL PERFORMANCES:
My good friend Steddy P. from Indyground Entertainment out of Kansas City, Missouri will be playing music off his recently released album Better Make Room. This is a sample free endeavor with producer Matthew Sawicki and DJ Mahf. Steddy P. is an amazing artist, and definition of independent. Check him out at www.steddyp.bandcamp.com and his millions of videos at www.indyground.com
Pony Boy & Eddie Logix are working on their debut release for Paradime’s BEATS AT WILL label. His album, Blood, Sweat, & Beers is produced entirely by super producer Eddie Logix. While Pony Boy has been opening for such notables as Royce 5’9″, Mystikal, Three 3 Mafia, and Trick Trick, Eddie Logix has been producing tracks for Danny Brown, Metasyons, Doc Waffles, Warren Peace, Midcoast Most, Progress Report, Guilty Simpson, and Mobil. Not to mention releasing an album on Five30 Music with Of Mice and Musicians’ Benjamin Miles entitled Play It Forward. This all happened in this year alone. These guys are building great buzz for their upcoming release. Check out Pony Boy’s latest mixtape, Black Eyes N Hickeys here: http://soundcloud.com/ponyboy313/sets/pony-boy-blackeyes-n-hickeys and Eddie Logix www.eddielogix.bandcamp.com
Relatively new in the grand scheme of Detroit hip hop is Crom Royale. I first saw a video for his song “Dark Minded” and was instantly intrigued. A couple of videos later, and I had to see him perform. S.Kaiser and I went to check him out at The Pike Room and were floored. Recently releasing a basement album entitled “Demo” Crom Royale has been gaining lots of blog love. You can download his Hi Hill Recordings debut here www.hihillrecordings.com/album/crom-royale-demo-2012
This is going to be a classic show, and we’re looking forward to seeing everyone come out and support. Keep checking into Five30Music.com in the following weeks as there will additional viral, including a brand new song released from yours truly. Thanks for checking in as always. See you June 30th.

Happy Five30: Charlie Beans Remix for Progress Report
Since it’s 5.30.12 today, it makes sense to release some new music. Although we didn’t think of this, good thing D.Allie & Eddie Logix aka PROGRESS REPORT thought to do it for us. Check out Charlie Beans’ Remix for “Don’t Know What To Do.” The original is featured on PR‘s debut album which debuted on CMJ TOP 10 upon its’ release.
Next on the menu for PROGRESS REPORT is Summer School, a remix project coming soon featuring the finest producers from Michigan and beyond. This track is the first leak from the album, and is a free download. Look for more music coming soon from D.Allie & Eddie Logix.
My basic idea for the remix was to turn change the mood from life to death with this remix. It’s also my first remix I’ve completed, but isn’t my first released.
Also, we figured that we’d give you a friendly reminder to hit our music secion up to catch up on free downloads from our catalog. It’s quite an accomplishment to have four projects released on Five30 Music in less than two years. We’ve built some great relationships and will continue to deliver nothing but the finest music from your humble friends.
We are still working on a couple of projects including a Five30 Music Compilation, as well as solo efforts from S.Kaiser, Tony Franks, & Charlie Beans, respectively.
We also have a major show announcement! More info the beginning of next month, but make sure to keep SAT. JUNE 30 open on your calender for a special Five30 Music event.
Enjoy the rest of your 5.30, and thanks for listening and supporting us, and our artists. Keep doing your thing.
SKRAPZ “Way Better Than You” 6.29.12
Finally! It’s been over half a decade since the world has heard an album worth of material from Detroit Legend, SKRAPZ. He’s been producing for plenty of artists including Five30 Music‘s Madio & Abrasive Method, as well as popping up on features with Dial81, R.O.C., MOBiLOGix, but we haven’t heard solo material from the guy since his debut solo album, The 12 Step Program released on the now defunct Genetic Soil label.
12 Steps has been deemed a classic, which might make it a tough act to follow. Making up for lost time, it appears SKRAPZ will be releasing two albums this year. The first entitled Way Better Than You, is a free offering available for download at the new SKRAPZ.com website on 6.29.12. WBTY features production from Charlie Beans, and a feature from Five30 Music‘s Abrasive Method.
Way Better Than You is the precursor to SKRAPZ’ official follow up to The 12 Step Program entitled The 5 Year Plan. Check the trailer below for more info.

FIVE30 Music 4.28.12 @ The Berkley Front
In celebration of the 10th Anniversary of THE ZONE RADIO, Our good friends Origix & DC asked Five30 Music if we would perform to ring in their decade of being on the radio. Of course we obliged. The show is at The Berkley Front, our home away from home. We’re excited to perform a medley of new material coming from your Five30 Music family.
THE ZONE RADIO is one of the first stations to support FIVE30 before we had even started this collective. OMAM @ The Pike Room 4.21.12 (North End) Release Party.
HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who came out to Of Mice and Musicians (South End) release party at Northern Lights. We had a great turn out, and incredible performances by Clear Soul Forces, Detroit Cydi, House Phone, Passalacqua, and of course, OMAM. It was a great way to kick off the latest Five30 Music release, Bottles & Bones. We’ll have some pictures and video up soon to verify our success.
We also wanted to thank everyone who has downloaded B&B and helped share/promote with us. We really apreciate all the support that has been shown our way. Several blogs have posted the link, and we’ve already recieved a solid amount of downloads for the album being out for little over a week.
To keep the party going, next up for Of Mice and Musicians is their North End release party 4.21.12 @ The Pike Room. Another great lineup including performances by Magnum Opus, Doss The Artist, Midcoast Most, and The Definition. The Pike Room is located inside The Crofoot in downtown Pontiac, and is an amazing venue to see a show. Hosted by Charlie Beans of Five30 Music. Check the flyer below.
