HUGE THANK YOU

To everyone that attended S.White‘s record release party at the Berkley Front November 20th.  It was a special night for everyone at Five30 Music and a great kick off to our newly formed label.  We appreciate everyone’s support in the making of the release and look forward to posting video from the party.  There are also plenty of pictures from the party that will be posted soon. 

Five30 Music‘s first release, The Last Boy Scout by S.White has been available for free download on our site for just over a week and  we’ve been recieving a lot of love on the project!  A couple of blog sites including Beatbox Radioshow, Hiphoprapjazz, Musical Schizophrenia, DotGotit.com, & Skrillagorillaz have already linked the album, and we’ve been pleasantly surpirsed with the amount of downloads we’ve recieved in just over one week!  The Last Boy Scout is a very special album to me, and we want as many people as possible to hear it.  So far, so good.

It truly was an honor to produce the album in its entirety, and help create an honest and inspirational piece of music with such a close friend, as well as an artist I’ve respected for years.  We will have new music coming from S.White sooner than you think.  Believe me, it will hardly be another six year hiatus. 

NEXT MATERIAL TO BE RELEASED. 

Up next on the docket is brand new material from Tony’s solo;  Project Phoenix, and new music from Madio.  Both of these albums have been underway for some time, but are getting kicked into overdrive over the next few weeks.  We’re really happy with the roster of artists Five30 has, and are anxious to get more pe0ple familiar with our work.  Look forward to new music from these artists coming first quarter of 2011, perhaps with a teaser song or two beforehand.

Thanksgiving Eve

Thanks to the many faces, both new and old, that came out to Camp Ti to check out Abrasive Method (A.M.) night before Thanksgiving.  It was great to catch up on old times and perform in front of a crowd that doesn’t normally make it out to shows.  Thanks for spending the biggest bar night of the year with your boys.

We passed out plenty of Living A Nightmare, Chasing The Dream albums, and The Last Boy Scout album for those who hadn’t had a chance to download it yet.  Please feel free to burn, copy, and email our music to anyone interested.  Our whole goal here at Five30 is to give away free, accessible, and quality music to people who can relate to it.

That’s right.  Another FREE local show for the holidays!  Check out the Five30 Music artist roster (A.M., S.White, & Madio) opening for B.Gozza, with his band ROAD To GOZZA @ CJ Mahoney’s in Rochester.  This isn’t normally a spot where you get to hear live music, so it’ll be a nice change of pace considering we drink there all the time.  B.Gozza is apart of the Flint duo the Artfull Dodgers, who have been dropping classic hip hop since 1999.  Stepping out for a solo project, Here Comes Trouble, this is Gozza‘s first solo effort.  Check him out at www.artfulldodgers.com 

Gozza is also the house DJ there and can be caught spinning every Friday and Saturday night.   The show starts at 10pm, and is free.  There will be plenty of drink specials, so come grab one with Five30 Music.
