Happy Five30: Charlie Beans Remix for Progress Report

Since it’s 5.30.12 today, it makes sense to release some new music.  Although we didn’t think of this, good thing D.Allie & Eddie Logix aka PROGRESS REPORT thought to do it for us.  Check out Charlie Beans’ Remix for “Don’t Know What To Do.”  The original is featured on PR‘s debut album which debuted on CMJ TOP 10 upon its’ release.

Next on the menu for PROGRESS REPORT is Summer School, a remix project coming soon featuring the finest producers from Michigan and beyond.  This track is the first leak from the album, and is a free download. Look for more music coming soon from D.Allie & Eddie Logix.

My basic idea for the remix was to turn change the mood from life to death with this remix.  It’s also my first remix I’ve completed, but isn’t my first released.

Also, we figured that we’d give you a friendly reminder to hit our music secion up to catch up on free downloads from our catalog.  It’s quite an accomplishment to have four projects released on Five30 Music in less than two years.  We’ve built some great relationships and will continue to deliver nothing but the finest music from your humble friends.

We are still working on a couple of projects including a Five30 Music Compilation, as well as solo efforts from S.Kaiser, Tony Franks, & Charlie Beans, respectively.

We also have a major show announcement!  More info the beginning of next month, but make sure to keep SAT. JUNE 30 open on your calender for a special Five30 Music event.

Enjoy the rest of your 5.30, and thanks for listening and supporting us, and our artists.  Keep doing your thing.

SKRAPZ “Way Better Than You” 6.29.12

Finally!  It’s been over half a decade since the world has heard an album worth of material from Detroit Legend, SKRAPZ.  He’s been producing for plenty of artists including Five30 Music‘s Madio & Abrasive Method, as well as popping up on features with Dial81, R.O.C.MOBiLOGix, but we haven’t heard solo material from the guy since his debut solo album, The 12 Step Program released on the now defunct Genetic Soil label.

12 Steps has been deemed a classic, which might make it a tough act to follow.  Making up for lost time, it appears SKRAPZ will be releasing two albums this year.  The first entitled Way Better Than You, is a free offering available for download at the new SKRAPZ.com website on 6.29.12.  WBTY features production from Charlie Beans, and a feature from Five30 Music‘s Abrasive Method.

Way Better Than You is the precursor to SKRAPZ’ official follow up to The 12 Step Program entitled The 5 Year Plan.  Check the trailer below for more info.
