And for those who don’t know…. My Name is Madio.

Mario Villanueva, aka Madio, is a rapper coming from the suburbs of Detroit, MI. Starting March 17, 1985 to present day, he has been influenced by all types of music. But ever since a bus ride home from school in 1996… Hip Hop has been his passion.

His most recent release, 2008s “Suburban Bread LP”, was Madio’s debut as a solo artist. Working with his good friend, producer/rapper AKA, Madio was able to make suburban hip hop he was proud of. Now in 2010, right on the eve of 2011, Madio will make progress as a solo artist once more. Working with Five30 Music and Charlie Beans, the next project, “My Name is Madio EP”, will most undoubtedly solidify is place as a solo artist.

Madio as worked and performed with many people in many different places. His beginning was with a group called VeRb with his high school buddy. They did talent shows all through high school. After high school, Madio, and VeRb, moved on to local venues, out of state gigs, frat houses, college showcases, just about anywhere doing anything, to showcase his talent. Shortly after the release of “the VeRb Hip Hop EP” Madio decided to go solo. Madio and his friend, AKA, worked together on his first solo project. Performing on the same stages as Paradime, Dante Lasalle, Guilty Simpson, Ro Spit, Black Milk, just to name a few. Even the Atlanta, GA, Philadelphia, PA, Chicago, IL have all felt the presence of Madio.

With all the experience, time, sweat, and hard work Madio has put into his craft, he is still moving forward. Only looking back to remember, not to regret. With the scheduled release of “My Name is Madio EP” in March 2011 and soon after “Mr. Madio LP” in mid 2011, be sure to expect more from this prolific artist. Free mixtapes, videos, trailers, vlogs, live shows… This is only the beginning.
